Hello from sunny Brisbane.

First thing first. To all those who keep going on about the weather in Inverness being "amazing, sunny as hell....Like" well we aint seen rain in 3 weeks, and hardly a cloud either. It has been sweet as. And from what I have heard it is likely to stay like this untill we leave this incredible country. As for leaving, we have finalised our plans for returning back to "europe's new sunshine destination". Colin and myself depart on 16 Oct 2006 for Singapore. We stop there for 8 weeks, then jump back on the jumbo and arrive in London village. So I will definitely be home for Christmas. So get the Tennents and Merrydown on ice.

I believe the plans of the wanderer Neilo are roughly the same, but couldn't tell you exacts. In fact he might hide away on a boat to Canada. You just never know. But Im sure whatever happens, Christmas and New Year will be nothing short of a fast track to the local AA meeting, followed by periods of depression, self - questioning and a spectacular spiral to misery. So I for one cannot wait.

Anyways back to Brisbane. This is a lovely place, but very slow. In fact we saw a plane take off yesterday, and it was going so slow we thought it might actually fall out the sky. Seen most of the sights, but to be honest there aint a lot to see. So tomorrow we leave for the Sunshine coast, then to Bundaberg for work. Best place to do some fruit picking as the pay is decent, and its all set-up for travellers. Should be good to put a bit of graft in and earn more beer tokens. With young Iain birthday coming up, the beer tokens will need to be recouped. Cant have the boy missing out on a traditional Inversnecky style boozefest, just because he is in Australia.

Speaking of the boy Iain, an interesting story from our first night in Brisbane. We stayed at the City backpackers, nice place. Just so happened it had a bar. Nice. Pints all round. A good evening was had by all, a bit of a late one, but once in bed, all would be well. Except that the lad sleeping in the bunk above Iain either had to much to drink, or forgot to put on his rubber pants as he pished himself. The urine proceeded to strem down on Iain, like a golden waterfall. You can imagine the rest, but we are still laughing about his evening of watersports. Quite ironic it happened to him after his tent pissing incident. Karma. She has a sense of humour.

So that was the first night in Brissy, but to be honest it been reasonably quiet since. Colin, Tony and myself went out on saturday and had a top time. The clubs in Brisbane have been some of the best yet. If anyone comes over, they should definitely sample the delights of the Fortitude Valley on a saturday night.

Anyways, supposed to be holiday home hunting, so shall have to go. If I think of anymore stories, piss or non-piss related I shall endevour to tell them.

Good bye for now, Peace, Dav x
