Hello and Bonjour.

So another week has passed in Australias most boring town, but with a couple of developments.

Our good friend from the hostel, the Frenchies, left on sunday. Sad to see them go as they were sound banter. Probably meet up with them up the road a bit. Retourne a lasile.

Monday saw the arrival of a friend from inverness, young Neil MacLeod, aka Chumba. He was in town for a couple of days on his whistle-stop tour of Australia. Good to see an old friend. Telling us of his plans to join the merchant navy, sop good luck to him. Since he left, the week has taken a rather spectacular nosedive.

Wasnt feeling very well on Tuesday, getting gradually worse as the week went on. Just thought it was the cold, so toughened up and got on with it. However woke up yesterday with a few spots on my body, and more on my scalp. As teh day went on more and more appeared so a trip to the doctors was required. Turns out i have Chicken Pox. Not good at all. Fairly uncomfortable thing to have. Not looking forward to the beggining of the itching. If anyone knows any good remedies, let me know.

So apart from looking like a 14 year old Macdonalds worker, i have no real news. Leave here on sunday, so hope to be feeling better by then. Then it is a 5 month holiday for me. Its tough being a freeloading traveller.

Speaking of travellers, has anyone heard from Brian?? Has he made it home?? Keep in touch my friend.

Oh well, better go rub some soothing cream on my poka-dot torso, hope you are all well.

David, the resident disease monger, Galliano.
