Hello and Bonjour.

So another week has passed in Australias most boring town, but with a couple of developments.

Our good friend from the hostel, the Frenchies, left on sunday. Sad to see them go as they were sound banter. Probably meet up with them up the road a bit. Retourne a lasile.

Monday saw the arrival of a friend from inverness, young Neil MacLeod, aka Chumba. He was in town for a couple of days on his whistle-stop tour of Australia. Good to see an old friend. Telling us of his plans to join the merchant navy, sop good luck to him. Since he left, the week has taken a rather spectacular nosedive.

Wasnt feeling very well on Tuesday, getting gradually worse as the week went on. Just thought it was the cold, so toughened up and got on with it. However woke up yesterday with a few spots on my body, and more on my scalp. As teh day went on more and more appeared so a trip to the doctors was required. Turns out i have Chicken Pox. Not good at all. Fairly uncomfortable thing to have. Not looking forward to the beggining of the itching. If anyone knows any good remedies, let me know.

So apart from looking like a 14 year old Macdonalds worker, i have no real news. Leave here on sunday, so hope to be feeling better by then. Then it is a 5 month holiday for me. Its tough being a freeloading traveller.

Speaking of travellers, has anyone heard from Brian?? Has he made it home?? Keep in touch my friend.

Oh well, better go rub some soothing cream on my poka-dot torso, hope you are all well.

Good day people.

Well Im still in Bundaberg and still not really loving it. We are going to stay an extra week to pay for a wee trip we are planning. Basically it involves 3 days 4x4ing on Fraser Island, 3 days sailing the beautiful Whitsundays, scuba dive and accommodation at various places along the way. Seems like a decent enough deal, but it will skin us one week wages, so the opportunity to make that cash back is a must.

So with less than 8 weeks till my family gets here, we are quickly running out of time. In a twisted fact of life, I cant wait to leave Bundaberg, get on the road etc, but i want time to slow down so we can spend more time here. Beginning to think that we maybe spent too long in Melbourne, but would never have wanted to leave any earlier as we were having the time of our lives. Anyways, to have known what was ahead of us at the time would lead to a unexciting trip. Kinda.

Anyways, the hostel we are staying at is very good, possibly the best yet. No it is the best yet. The people are sound as a pound, met some really nice people. The French boys, Julien, Julien, Sebastian, and Jerome are really top banter, always up for a laugh and very welcoming. Also other people from the hostel are always about to have a laugh or beer. Always makes tough (well having a shitty job, making little money and spending days off bored because of this hick town) much easier to pass.

Tony texted me last night to vent his anger about the idiot that is Iain. Said idiot erased all of Tony and Jodies photos off there camera. To say they were pissed off would put it mildly. Just have to use there imaginative memories to relive there adventure. I reckon Iain might be in the dog house.

A few shouts to those that leave comments, much appreciated, hope that you are doing well. Beans you are an Arsh. Macleod, good luck heading home my friend. It will be tough, but give us a shout anytime. The Irish, look forward to seeing you fucking legends in a few weeks. Tony, Jodie and Idiot all the best with the rest of your times here, goodluck with the job hunt when you get back to Costa Del Sneck.

Hopefully hear from you all soon, you know my email address so email me the craic, also have a look at the boys blogs. I know beans regularly updates, as does Brian if he is near a computer.
